OMG! I got a sub!

Tue Dec 15, 2009, 4:31 PM
I got a sub! I really never expected to get one, but I have one.

It's only for three months, but I know who gave me one. So a big thank you for *amberchrome for giving me one. :hug: But I don't know how to repay you. ^^;

X-Mas Wishlist...

Fri Dec 11, 2009, 4:57 PM
Screw it...

I have never really wanted to do this because it'll be like setting myself up for disappointment. I have never gotten what I wanted since I was little and no one will even grant me these wishes anyway (okay, so 2 and 7 might happen because my family is chipping in to get me these things; as I can't seem to earn enough money in my caretaker job to buy them myself). I don't know why I bother. But everyone else is posting these things... so I thought why not be part of the crowd and post mine too...?

*****

THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on DA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!

STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

:bulletred: THERE ARE NO RULES WITH THIS PROJECT, NO GUARANTEES, AND NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Just...wish, and it MIGHT come true. Give, and you MIGHT receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

NOW LET'S SEE IT!

Christmas-Time is Upon Us...

Sat Dec 5, 2009, 11:29 AM
It's December and Christmas-time is upon us. I'm not that big on celebrating Christmas (because I'm always a little blue during this holiday). I try to be nice to people, but it always ends up with me getting hurt by them (it's my family in RL, so don't worry that you might be the cause of my X-mas blues; you're not, okay?).

I wish everyone could just get along and not yell at each other all the time, especially during the holidays. It makes me sad. And I don't want to feel sad during X-mas. That's the only thing on my wish-list (is that people aka my family get along and be nice to each other). I won't ask for anything else.

I've been doing my part to make this holiday a nice, friendly one. Whenever I go shopping, I at least go a dollar over for what I owe and give the remaining change to the Salvation Army (whose workers are outside in the front of every store I visit ringing their little bells beside a bucket where people put their money in; I don't want to be a miserly Ebenezer Scrooge). That's what I do to be kind this holiday.

My house is a mess. It needs to be fixed up before I do anything else with it (like set up an X-mas tree in the front room which is rather like a bare room with just a small couch that's falling apart and a half-empty bookshelf and a floor that looks like puke). And it's not just the living room. It's the kitchen, the bathroom, and my room too. Every inch of this house needs to be fixed up.

Ah, I'm rambling now. Sorry about that. I'll stop.

And I'm sorry I haven't been visiting DA lately. I'm going through a huge art block that I can't seem to get out of and I've been quite busy with my RPs with :iconinsanepiratedragon: (who is my favorite RP partner and the best at coming up with ideas, and always discuss them with me).

And I am opening up requests for anyone who wants one. Just ask and I'll add you to my list. No art trades, though, since I feel in a very giving mood at the moment.

Okay, I better stop before this journal gets too long now.

Have a wonderful X-mas (to those who celebrate it)! Bye now.

Okay...

Tue Dec 1, 2009, 3:11 PM
I can't get onto my Fur Affinity (FA) account. I'm always getting this Connection has timed out error message. This started yesterday. Which means, that even though I can post art and stories here, I can't do the same thing on my FA account.

To anyone who also has an FA account: Is this happening to you too, or is it just me?

I downloaded ArtWeaver

I downloaded a new art program called ArtWeaver [link]

I thought it would be interesting to try out and I'm learning what each and everything does and how to use it, although I don't know what to try to draw in it first.

Hmmm... *thinking*

So? If they don't like it, they can just not pay any attention to it. I'm not forcing them to listen.

My life is nothing but loneliness, but it seems that I aways get bashed just for feeling sad. Don't I have a right to feel sad?
